Confirm that the supplier's processes are capable of producing parts at full volume condition that meet all Kasai UK targets by conducting a manufacturing trial e.g. Run @ Rate trial, significant production trial, line speed demonstration etc.
Notes:
If any concerns arise during this manufacturing trial, an additional full volume condition confirmation manufacturing trial shall be conducted to confirm countermeasures prior to the supplier's start of production.
Kasai UK will select certain suppliers and carry out an additional audit activity on their process to confirm their ability to support Kasai UK requirements during and after ramp-up.
The date, duration, product quantity and mix for this activity shall be agreed with Kasai UK.
Usually, this activity will be carried out at the same time as the supplier's final manufacturing trial.
