Introduction
Kasai Supplier Product Quality Procedure (KSPQP) is the Kasai UK procedure that has been developed to define the requirements for suppliers from the initial project planning phase, through SOP, to the end of product life.
Senior Management commitment to support fully the achievement of all goals and targets is a fundamental requirement throughout all phases of KSPQP. Kasai UK reserve the right to carry out on-site audits of the supplier at any time to confirm that the requirements of KSPQP are met.
The Purpose of KSPQP
The purpose of KSPQP is to specify the methods and responsibilities whereby the supplier is required to develop new products to achieve the Kasai UK targets for Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD), and associated customer expectations.
The Scope of KSPQP
KSPQP applies to all external suppliers of:
Parts
Fabric
Bulk Materials
The Structure of KSPQP
KSPQP is composed of five phases. These phases are linked to the Kasai UK project milestones as follows:
The specific timeline for each project in relation to these phases and milestones should be confirmed with the relevant Kasai UK project leader.
The KSPQP phases form a closed loop process, i.e. results collected throughout all 5 phases of one project should be fed back and used as input into the first phase of the next project.
KSPQP is divided into 11 categories, which are spread across the 5 phases. These categories are broken down into 26 separate activities. Each activity is structured to contain the following information:
Purpose
Content
Timing
Output Document(s)
IATF Reference number
Company Specific Requirement
Notes
Each output document has a Document Completion Instruction (DCI). These DCI’s explain the key points and minimum content requirements for each document.
The Application of KSPQP
Suppliers are required to implement all KSPQP activities. Suppliers are required to submit documentation as evidence of the output of these KSPQP activities. The basic language for all documents submitted must be English unless otherwise agreed with the Kasai UK department which will receive the document.
