The Floor plan layout is the document that shows the facilities installation and product flow inside the plant.
The supplier shall make a schematic diagram to determine the acceptability of Inspection points, Control Chart location, the applicability of Visual Aids, Process Instructions, Interim Repair stations and storage areas for defective material.
The layout should also describe the full material flow, such as work in progress storage areas, labelling locations, finished product storage and dispatch facilities.
It should be updated during the life of the product.
Minimum Content Requirements
The following items are expected as a minimum content of this document:
Show all Process and Inspection points including lighting, storage, visual aids, equipment as required for the process.
Show clearly identified areas (including dimensions) for all material, tools and equipment for each operation / station.
Show work in progress, rework, and non-conforming material storage areas.
Show relationship with other processes / facilities and confirm that there will be no possibility of cross-contamination.
Show goods in and dispatch areas.
The supplier must ensure consistency throughout all documentation for:
